Test out different types of meditation and notice the change in your TBI symptoms. Use your breath, ground your body, and tune into sensations of your body. Meditation can be challenging after experiencing a Traumatic Brain Injury and finding the type of meditation that suits you. Benefits of meditation: lessens anxiety, soothes anger and over-excitement, allows your brain to relax and heal. Maria is a survivor of a severe traumatic brain injury and has used mindfulness and meditation as tools for recovery.
